Launching on October 25, Step & Connect – Discovering Bologna is the new series of walks exploring the city and its hidden treasures. Discovering Bologna, building connections, and feeling part of a community: these are the goals of this new Bologna for Talent initiative.
The program offers two new walks designed for talents, combining the discovery of the local area with the opportunity to network and build relationships. The initiative has a dual purpose: on the one hand, it brings together cultural and social experiences to be enjoyed collectively; on the other, it provides workers, recent graduates, and graduating students with an informal opportunity to meet and exchange ideas with others who are experiencing similar paths of personal, professional, or educational growth in Bologna.
The walks are open to graduating students, graduates, talents from companies in the metropolitan area of Bologna, and their families. Participation is free, with a maximum of 30 participants per event.
The Ancient Giants – A Walk Among Monumental Trees and Hidden Gardens
The first event, dedicated to the city’s monumental trees and hidden gardens, will take place on Saturday, October 25 at 3:30 PM, in collaboration with Fondazione IU Rusconi Ghigi. The route (about 2.8 km) will start from Piazza San Francesco, pass through the Santo Stefano area, and end at the Giardini Margherita with a final snack. The walk will be guided by an environmental expert and held in Italian. Registration is required through specific form.
Bologna in Jazz: between stories and musical legends
The second event is scheduled for Sunday, November 9 at 3:30 PM, and will be dedicated to Bologna and Jazz, led by renowned jazz expert Giovanni Serrazanetti. This walk will be held in English to encourage participation from an international audience. Registration is required through specific form.
With these initiatives, Bologna for Talent reaffirms its commitment to supporting the talents who have chosen to invest in the city, creating opportunities to get to know Bologna better while building relationships that can become part of a long-term life and career project.
The walks are organized in collaboration with the Unità Servizi per i giovani - Scambi e soggiorni all'estero of the Municipality of Bologna.
