Actions to attract visitors and promote the area
The Talent Welcome Desk is a one-to-one support service for individuals who have arrived or are arriving in the area and need information and support with relocating and settling in. The service is free of charge, available by appointment and also offered in English.
To request a one-to-one meeting with the Talent Welcome Desk, the company simply needs to ask the candidate interested in support to fill in the dedicated questionnaire. The Welcome Desk will contact the candidate to respond to their needs.
The Welcome Desk can also be contacted directly by companies for support and specific information on hiring non-EU staff.
The service develops initiatives to attract talent and promote the region by involving participating companies and strategic supply chains, organising in-person and online events aimed at both talent within Italy and talent networks abroad, in collaboration with the University of Bologna.
In addition to events, the service promotes online communication campaigns dedicated to promoting services and the region, strategic supply chains and launching campaigns to attract specific professional profiles through the Bologna for Talent website and social media.
The website has a page dedicated to job opportunities: the logos of the various companies participating in the service correspond to direct links to the companies' recruitment pages. This allows talented individuals visiting the Bologna for Talent website to immediately find companies looking for talent and view the applications submitted. This page is also presented to job seekers at every Welcome Desk meeting and is promoted during events presenting the service, such as trade fairs.
The service develops initiatives to attract and retain talent, dedicated to shared targets identified together with the companies participating in these programmes.
These include BET, an annual talent attraction and retention programme, in which talented individuals work in multidisciplinary teams on challenges proposed by participating companies according to the open innovation methodology.
BET aims to foster connections between talent and companies, allowing companies to observe young talent during the two-week programme. In addition, the programme promotes digitalisation and the adoption of ICT (Information and Communication Technologies) in companies, thanks to the creative contribution and skills of the participants.
BET stimulates the creation of innovative solutions to complex challenges, promoting growth in the region and confirming the possibility of employment at the end of the experience.
